Title: Medieval Madness tickets, half price
Post by: Sir Edward on 2011-01-17, 21:01:53

This is in Alexandria, VA. We've been to it once. It's fun, and I think it's worth the $25. The normal price feels a little high. But it's a cute show and a decent meal.

Seems to have already expired. Nice find, though. I used to work over there and haven't heard of the place.

Never heard of it, and I used to date a girl that lived on King Street.  Or very near.  Says I missed it, though.  The deal, I mean.

It's been around for a year or so, so it's fairly new. I think it's worth going, but it is nice to get the half-price deal if you can.

Kat and I went in garb, and blew everyone away.

You guys look great together...they should've had you as guests of honor and waived any and all fees!  This is the type of thing we could all come together to attend as well...I'd do it in garb, too.

I say that now because it isn't happening yet, I may punk out!  lol

So did they freakout about your sword? Was it piece tied and did they even check? ???

It looks like in the picture I did have it peace-tied (I don't remember specifically). And they were cool with it. They all loved having us in garb for sure.

This was back in April, by the way.

Maybe we should do an Order Event there in the near-future?

Sounds like a plan.

That'd go over well I'm sure!  Or we can draw lots.  LOL

Sir Edward, the sword that you wore and that scabbard - is that a VA offering?

It's the Albion Landgraf in a DBK scabbard. It's probably my favorite out of my collection currently.

I was way off!  t's a beaut so I asked.  By the by, I remember my first (and only) time at VARF, I wore a sword, no peace-tie and no one said a word.  Maybe VA's a little more relaxed about that sort of thing?

VARF requires peace-tie, it's just that they're really bad at checking on it. Sometimes they're on the ball, and sometimes not. :)

Oh yes, I think it's quite a beaut:

I love the belts...may I ask what that one set you back?  Really love the buckles and fittings.

The scabbard was somewhere around $1100 with all the custom things I had him do, such as the double suspension. It stung, but man, it turned out great.

Yea...feelin the sting right now, but I'm drawing it out a little so it doesn't make such a dent.  When I get it, I'll be sure to take pics!
