Yeah, the AEMMA guys do it, and do it right. They're one of the few groups fencing with actual armoured combat techniques (as opposed to combat where they happen to wear armour), and its pretty intense. They're very big on having their kit be as close to historically accurate as possible to make sure they are introducing as few modern artifacts into their WMA studies. They do really good stuff.
