probably the best 2 helmets (period wise) they have and they have them on closeout? I swear every time they get something halfway decent some one in the company must tell them so they sell out and stop carrying it.
-
Well, crap! I might have to order something. The bascinet w/ mail would be nice to have. I just need to decide if I want the pembridge style great helm too.
-
its actually one of the nicest reproductions of it that i have seen. figures thats why mrl is canceling it. hehe plus its super sweet and 14thc ;)
-
Yeah, I'm starting to like a lot of the 14th C stuff, except those houndskull/pigfaced bascinets. I'll never like those! :)
I ordered the set of both helms so they'll work together. Also the mail gaunts with the splinted cuffs, so I can try hacking the cuff and play around with the mail hands.
I noticed that the padded arming caps are being discontinued too, so I ordered another to have a spare.

:o :o :o :o :o and me? what u order me? hehee oh and brian too? hehe

I'll take one in green or black! ;)
I remember when they first started selling those! It wasn't all that long ago, guess they lost their
cheap supplier. :-\
-
Too late, order is placed. All for me. Mine. Done. :)
-
Now you can't find that helm ANYWHERE. Except one place...and it is MINE. :)
-
???
Did you buy these helms?
-
I'm getting the Pembridge, not the bascinet. I wear a maille coif so who knows, maybe I won't need the bascinet. Even if I do, I don't want one with an aventail on it...I am pretty sure it isn't historically authentic to do it that way.

sweet!

Congratulations, Sir William.

You may congratulate me when I have finalized the transaction, Brother James. ;)
