Title: Working on a new kit (3rd BC early roman) its super easy
Post by: Sir Wolf on 2009-05-08, 22:46:35
(http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt47/reenactthis/roman/DSCN1117.jpg)

you can see the buckle and plate at the top. the unfinished back plate on the left and the breastplate on the right.

I have a Montefortino helm (http://www.kultofathena.com/images/AH6050.jpg)

now i have to make the shield (something like this: https://ns23.servepower.com/kelticaironagevillage.com/storeimages/kelticaauthentic/KA%20Republican%20Scutum.jpg ), left leg greave, pilum and simple natural color tunic.  Gotta buy the sword though ( http://www.kultofathena.com/product~item~AH2004~name~Roman+Wood+Handled+Spatha.htm ). Just thought I would share :)

Very cool!  8)

A new project is always fun...I'm a bit envious! They only thing
I've got going on is adding some permanent knee pads to my leggings.

thanks. i managed to finish the backplate as well as strapping them together. today i have to make a buckle for each side and do that little bit.  my linen just came out of the wash so I'll have to make my simple bag tunic.  then comes the hard parts... the shield and the pilum.
