I do not get it Chuck. I have a threaded butt-cap and it is great on my pole weapons. But it is not something new. I'm perplexed.  ???

the plumbing butt cap is ground down. never seen this made like this before. most everything I have ever seen made was by hand or cast.   A regular joe could so make this at home with a bench grinder

I’ve seen this done before, and I agree that it’s a great idea for the budget challenged (like me)!  A nice looking butt cap can be yours for only $1.50 and some quality time on the bench grinder.   :)

I highly recommend that you purchase the black malleable iron fitting, NOT the galvanized version.  The dust thrown off your grinding wheel from a galvanized fitting can really ruin your day, and life.   :o

I saw that when it was originally posted to MyArmoury, but had forgotten about it.

BTW, I fixed the spelling for the thread title. It looked to me like it was calling caps into question... "But, caps!!!!" :)

Well, even if he's referring to firearm usage, that's still a weapon.  I, uh, didn't go where Sir Wolf looks like he went with that statement made by Sir James.  lol

I'm going to have to look this up at home; they've got MyA blocked- but they still have problems w/people cruising pr0n sites.  Go figure.
