Not so much as a member but earnest student of WMA. - i.e. I like to hit people with steel swords - Alot! ;)
-
And get hit in turn ;D
-
I'm not a real SCAdian, but technically I've been a member, been to a couple of events, and a few Pennsics.
I've been training at VAF for several years in WMA/HEMA.
And of course, we founded the Order of the Marshal here as well.

Ah but only when I fail to parry or I attempt to block with my hands. :P

I’m not really an official member of any real group come to think of it, because I’m not that active in them (I do a lot of stuff myself, teach, practice, fight, etc.). However I’m almost always welcomed in to any group who have seen me or knows me in some way, so I guess I’m kind of a member in every group I meet.
The group I run I guess would be the best thing I could say, it is a subdivision for a high school club (which a friend and teacher runs) that is a living history group in my area.

Order of the Marshal

SCA. The HEMA club here died.

I am an honored member of the Order of the Marshal,
Founding member of a medieval re-enactment group here in Blighty called The Freemen of Gwent.
Our group is a member of an umbrella organization called The Early Medieval Alliance.

Order of the Marshal
AAA (Not what you're thinking - it's Armor Addicts Anonymous)
Other than that, I did a couple years of karate about a decade ago, one season of SCA heavy, and a couple of WMA/HEMA classes. Anything historical (WMA/HEMA/Living History) has my attention.

Order of the Marshal
Twisted Knot Company of Pike and Shotte
Red Rowan Reivers
-
Order of the Marshal, however I am looking to join more.

Hi folks, just a reminder that membership on the forum is not automatic membership in the Order of the Marshal (the two are separate entities, though closely linked). Ideally we can all take time to get to know each other, and then the requisite sponsorships for membership in the Order are usually pretty easy to get if you're a like-minded, chivalrous sort of person. :)

Sir Edward,
Do we just post an ask for sponsorship or should we send an email or something to that nature? Just curious, for when I am ready to look for sponsors..

I think the best way to gain potential sponsorship in to the Order is just participate in the forums and let us get to know you through conversation and posts. It will happen when it happens so to speak, but it's not something you 'apply' for. You can read our membership bylaws here:
http://orderofthemarshal.org/bylaws/membership/index/ (http://orderofthemarshal.org/bylaws/membership/index/)
Expressing interest is a good first step, but just continue to participate and be yourself and that's really all you need do.

I was involved with the SCA for years - sometimes as a heavy and other times as a carouser of sorts ;-) Various martial arts studios over the years as well. Lately my Lady seems to be of the opinion that attending an SCA event or two might be something we should do in the near future, so who knows? maybe I will start re-acquiring armor all over again ;)

I was a member of the now defunct Northern Horde, their resident Sword and Board expert and bard.
Griffin Persuent A reenactment group of a medieval military camp. I was their Bard and Historian.
Several Martial arts groups and clubs in the past.
Just getting back into it now and looking forward to one day maybe having the honor of being a member of the order of the Marshal.

WMA - heavily although around here it's hard to find when it's not
SCA - not a member but I've attended a few wars and have friends within it
Adrian Empire - getting started within this group
