Huzzah! Let's see if we can break it at VARF this year. Damaged or broken swords are a real crowd pleaser!

 :o :o :o WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!?!  :o :o :o
Are you trying to provoke the goddess Fortuna? - Quickly now you must appease her by giving
away all your armor to your friends as a gesture of your generosity and sincere penance!  :P

Oh and I call dibs on the MT pieces!  8)

Asking what is wrong with me is a question that could span many many threads. :D Though a lot of it probably revolves around armor indeed.

The sword of the King has been remade. Good. I'll inform Gondor that the King has returned. :)

Since they had to re-wrap the jute cord when they replaced the blade, methinks I should add a protective wrap around the grip and here is what I came up with and I cannot believe I didn't think of this before! I got it on sale too and in my 'colors'  ;D

I sense a bit of "You got BLUE all over my gambeson last year. THIS year, prepare for the green-n-yellow!" ;)

Only colors I see forthcoming are Black- n- Blue. (No. Not you, Sir William) :)

You calling me a bruise, Dane?  lol

The blue on the gambeson has to do with Sir Edward leaving his sword's blue tape all over Sir Brian's nice custom gear iirc.

You recall correctly Sir William, a fact that I will counter this year with my own GREEN tape upon my blade!

Fight graffiti with graffiti says I!  ;)

I have a feeling I'm gonna have blue and green all over my surcoat this year.  I need to wear something over my CoP - blue and green would mesh well with the brown leather but I doubt you'd be so kind as to keep your strikes so that the marks would be geometric and hence, somewhat fashionable?  lol

We might all be better off if we just concentrate on ‘pulling’ our hits sufficiently enough to leave the each other’s bones intact! ;)

I don't know about you guys, but I'm planning on not getting hit.

I'll let you know how that works out. :)

Me too!  ;D

See, I'll simply mount a little stamp with my COA on the end of my blade!
If we're gonna mark our targets, we might as well go all the way!  ;)

This stuff worked out really well! It comes with a pair of rolls so I was able to wrap both the Meyer and my aluminum sword. I had to re-wrap the Meyer as I had the windings too close together and the surplus leather actually messed up the balance of the blade a bit, but a wider wrapping method provided the necessary protection yet didn't compromise the balance. Of course you can't anchor the end as you do a bicycle handle bar so a bit of glue and cord wrap overnight does well enough.  :)

All of this good review, and yet, Sir Brian - no pictures. For shame! :D

Well he will just have to wait! I need to skive the end of the tape so it will offer less edge to get caught and pull up. ;)
