Title: MRL Deal of the Day: the new Coustille
Post by: Sir William on 2012-11-09, 19:35:56
For today only, this piece is going for $69- I picked one up some time ago and its a handy little sword, especially at this price point.

I picked one up. In all honesty I plan to modify it as i've seen it modified by some dude from the UK and it looked as good as an albion. Just need a little tutorial on how to do it.

That customization really turned out quite nice.

Yes, it did...nice pick up, Ulrich!  I remember that writeup on SFI.

Well it came today, my parents not so fond of me buying swords anymore, they seem to think I'll stab someone with it by accident when I am very careful with any objects that are sharp and pointy. Needless to say I really like it, the grip I cant stand though it's too slippery and the stitching hurts my hands, I do however plan to modify it and send it to crusader monk to get it regripped and get the scabbard attached to something. Overall I like it, it's nice just think the grip can be better.

Get Crusader Monk to build you a new grip if you're so inclined- or wear gloves.  I've never noticed any issues with the stitching on the grip.
