Apparently the metal fittings on the box are from Historic Enterprises. This gives me ideas!

Sir James...I have a few choice words for you, Brother.  ;)

Did he say how much he'd want for that?  My original Arn shipping box looks much like that...all I'd have to do is cut out the top part so I could lay it in there (as opposed to sliding the sword through the slit at the very top of that cross bar).  I could stain it, slap some hinges on it and be done!

I could...I should look into that.  That's a beauty, that box is.  Hmm.  Wonder if my Crecy will arrive in a similar construct now.

Oh, you're welcome. 8D

It was posted on the Book of Faces and when I saw the Albion Arn I thought "Sir William must see this!". Then I thought, I might try to tempt you to the dark side of FB. ;) I'm not sure how much it was, but I'm sure they'd make another one if you chat with them.

Yeah I'm pretty sure they converted the shipping crate that the sword came in. I've heard of people doing that (and it's part of the idea behind including the crate on their museum and movie lines).

For my "Albion", originally my thought was to replace the top board with plexiglass, and stain the wood. But now that I've seen this, I'm not sure. :)

Ooohh...plexiglas would be an awesome idea for the top!  I really like that idea because then people (or you lol) can look at it without touching it.  Like those shadow boxes you see on sale for a $100+ on ebaY.

No matter how many times I say not to, everyone always puts their oily fingers on the blade.  Now the unspoken rule is: no one touches the Albions.
