My Gokstad pine bed.
After months of work, and over a year of thinking about it, it's almost done. I just need to add a piece of plywood to cover the gaps. I can sleep on it it just isn't as comfy.

Nice workmanship. I'll stick with my hammock. :)

Excellent, that'll work really well at Pennsic!

Very nice.
It will make such a nice display piece in an open tent.
Did you know you can also have a duvet/quilt as an authentic medieval bed covering??
Lady Joanna and I were over the moon when we came across this....

Bye bye unauthentic sleeping bags with fur throws......hello warmth and comfort....
( Our mattress is still and air bed as Lady Joanna flatly refuses to sleep on a sack filled with straw ;) )

This isn't my camp bed. This is my daily bed. :)
If I do one for camping I will be using hardwood for space & weight savings.
BTW the West Kingdom Pennsic truck still has some space if you know anyone who needs to use it.
