These guys are purveyors of fine wares specifically designed to combat zombies!

Even if our own array of killing tools is superior in many aspects to theirs, I still got a kick out of checking them out. They exhibit a rough, apocalyptic look...the prices aren't bad considering these are no wall hangers- although a touch more than I would've considered fair, but then, there's no historicity with these weapons like we come to expect from mid- to high-end sources.

It's funny, they're not the only one doing this. One of the knife-manufacturing companies put out an apocalypse line of knives and machetes, and had product placement on The Walking Dead TV series.
-
They still don't have the reach or awesome cutting power of a decent longsword! ;)
-
hah! funny you can see this at work but not other armour stuff hehehe
cool
-
I can name historical weapons that inspired at least half of those. Very similar.

Please don't get me started...I wonder at that daily. I think someone is effing with me up in the server room. lol

In the modern firearms arena, Hornady, the ammo manufacturer produces a whole line of zombie bullets :)

those are a hoot! i saw those at a local gun show :)
-
lol, I wonder what makes them particularly good for zombies. I don't see anything mentioning what's different about that ammo.
-
it says zombies so they can add 15 bucks per box on a normal box of 45s

I'm betting that's it precisely.

I zoomed in on the picture, but all I can make out is "WARNING: Contains no human flesh."

lol! It also looks like the tips are green. So my guess is that's the difference. They each have a drop of green paint. :)

The Hornady zombie rounds are mostly re-purposed rounds from other lines. A lot of the rifle rounds are really their V-Max rounds (varmint rounds), and I believe most of the pistol zombie rounds are really their critical defense rounds with green flex tips instead of red flex tips. They're not really any more expensive than their non-zombie counterparts (the .45 ACP Zombie Max is actuall $0.84 cheaper than a box of .45 Crit Defense), and you at least get cool box art....
For example, the Hornady Critical Defense .45 ACP is a 185 grain flex tip bullet, its stats match almost identically to the '.45 Zombie-Max' round...

I think all of us are pretty well equipped for such an apocalypse. Cept me I don't have a sharp sword yet blunt ones can still kill and i'm sure someone could sharpen it for me. That actually would make for a cool movie, a group of medieval reenactors against a whole hoard of zombies and using medieval weapons and tactics they can hold out and defend during a siege until the zombies are wiped out. Be a horror movie spoof of Ironclad or something.
-
Sir Ulrich, you'd think someone would've done that already, right? Hmm...I was an extra in a zombie flick a few years back...wonder if the director would be interested in doing it. We'd have to be the stars of course...I'm not one for lending out my gear (unless it is to one of you knights).
-
hehehe we will call it "Dead of Knight" heheheh medieval dead knights

That would be awesome! The closest I've seen is Season of the Witch.

I've only seen that movie once...I was more than a little disappointed; I much preferred 'Black Death' to that...similarly themed movies.

Sir Ulrich- You can usually find some small shop, or even most hardware stores will sharpen just about anything. I've had a few blades come in blunt that I took to my local ACE hardware and they have a nice edge on them now.
If you want to hand sharpen them, or hone them a bit after the hardware store, I use DMT stones, which are awesome-
