Sergeant Nicholas Dickhut with the 5-20 Infantry Regiment attached to the 82nd Airborne was killed in action Sunday while serving with the U.S. Army in Kandahar province, Afghanistan.
Nick was known as Jacques Louis de Froi in the Society for Creative Anachronism. He belonged to the Rochester Minnesota group known as the Shire of Silfren Mere.
A very good article can be found in The Rochester Post-Bulletin (http://postbulletin.com/news/stories/display.php?id=1494914).
God speed, Nick.

Apparently he was a friend of the Captain of the Cynaguan Guard Titus Thurinus.
