I saw this one and I will tell you it is an amazing diagram and it shows every style of Helmets used throughout the Middle Ages and Renaissance.
My Close Helmet is one there! :)

i have that in one of my books. i would take it of course with a grain of salt ;) but its still a cool diagram

Very cool...how accurate is it?
-
Judging from the helmets depicted here, I say it is fairly accurate, it is designed to show the transitions the helmet from the 11th century down to the 17th Century (this is with Burgonets, Lobster Pot-Helms).
I wouldn't say that it is highly accurate as there were many variations of one type of helmet, but it is a nice guide none the less.

Was hoping to see a sugarloaf great helm somewhere in there, but nothing even close to resembling one. :(

Late 13th / Early 14th would be where I'd put it as the "popular" time.
The picture reminds me of the swords one. Cool ideas, they'd make great posters.

I wonder if you could make a funny poster with the helm evolution and the ascension of man.... Hmmmm...
