Clang does a Pembridge custom for $285.

I managed to get these when they were on clearance at MRL.

I really wish these two worked together. The bascinet is just that, a bascinet, rather than a skull cap. So it's way too huge to fit inside the pembridge great helm.

The bascinet is heavier than I expected. It's pretty sturdy, and of course they used heavy butted mail for the aventail. It also doesn't work with my glasses, so unless I get contacts, I can't comfortably use it.

The pembridge is useable, but I think I need to make a nice beefy liner or something.

I remember trying the both of them after you had recently purchased them. They worked fairly well for me but the combined weight was pretty brutal.  :o

I think if you padded the great helm while wearing a coif you will be able to get a decent fit with it.  ;)

Sir Edward, should you ever decide to rid yourself of that bascinet w/mail, I'll be more than happy.  I actually have some fundage to play with now so I'm open.  I found a Ukrainian armory that'll make the Pembridge for me for under $200 shipped so I'll probably get that from them, but always like the look of that bascinet w/mail, just didn't have that kind of money at that time when they were selling it.  One of the few products they put out that I sorely missed out on.

That's life tho, right?
