Title: Documentary on Sir William Marshal

Saw this posted on MyArmoury but knew people here would appreciate it.  It's a BBC documentary that focuses on William Marshal.  I'm only partially through watching it so can't vouch for how good it is, but it seems pretty good so far!

I'll check it out later...I'm thinking the image I'm seeing is just for visual purposes; I hope they are not doing it in full plate.  ;)

Finally got to finish watching it. Such a great show! Wish they could have covered a little more of his life but maybe there will be a part two someday! ;)

That's just the opening of the show where they talk about 15th c tournament before jumping further back in time to Marshal's contemporaries.

Oh ok, sweet.  Might try to watch this later this afternoon as I'm not busy today.  Thankfully.

Was a great documentary to watch.  I learned quite a bit about the early tournament scene that I didn't know.

Just got done watching this on lunch break. It is definitely worth a watch. I learned a lot about the early tournaments that I haven't seen or read elsewhere.

I forgot to come back and post. It was excellent, and very consistent with what I've read elsewhere, not just about The Marshal, but about tournaments and the general times as well.

This is excellent reading several good reviews on this documentary!  I am eager to catch it when time permits me. 

Although I do hope this would be released on DVD format  ;)

A couple quick googles didn't show it for sale. It's a UK show, so it's probably harder to get a hold of here in the states. I wasn't able to find anything for the "Timewatch" series, of which this was an episode, for sale either.
