Good looking stuff. The $700 (USD) price tag, not including shipping, seems rather steep - especially if it's "off the rack" sizing (which I can't tell). I like that they have the option for other colors and/or military orders.

Oh, this isn't just a pic- someone's offering to make these kits up? $700 would be good if it were a custom fit...off the rack doesn't always suit me, though. Still, nice...I've kept a copy for reference. That's a lot of clothing though...can't imagine it was very comfy during the warmer months.

Although it`s extremely authentic, I`m surprised there are not more people supplying the hooded, full sleeved tunics. As a Hosptaller my brother has been after one of these for a while now.

Sir Gerard, if I may posit- I think it might be because w/the full sleeved tunic, you can't see the gorgeous mail armor underneath; not that a Hospitaller would've been concerned w/such, but us contemporaries sure are. ;)
Although, I do believe MRL's version from KoH was pretty accurate considering...it was a dark, dark brown, full sleeved, full length tunic with strips of mail attached to the skirt partings to make it look like you had on a full mail skirt.

Yes a dark brown one would be better ( and more realistic colour for the medieval dyer to achieve). My Brother has a lovely dark brown cloak but uses a black sleveless surcoat for the moment ::).

Haha, nope, nor the poopstain brown and rubble grey that apparantly covered everything in the medieval period ;)
I would like to see more painted helms and armour, myself.

You mean, like this? One of Toby Capwell's harnesses...this one's retired, actually. I have a pic of someone else's helm, armor, sword and shield at home...the shield and helm are painted in blue and white swirled....really quite cool; I wanna say Dave Kelly but I could be wrong about that. He plays Viking/early Norman I think. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Yep, heat blued with brass details. :drool:
I haven't seen much historical painted armor aside from early period helms and shields. The next closest thing is the "black and white" harnesses from the early firearms periods, which aren't really "white" and just have blackened bits (the ones I've seen). Painted mild steel armor is very practical since it makes maintenance much easier. :)
