After a couple of my "fights" I've noticed that in order to wear my greaves and other leg plates, I need some sort of padding so that things don't slip and slide around as well as dig into my shins and other various leg parts.
What would be an appropriate legwear to have to wear underneath the plate armor for my legs?
What are they called?
Right now I've relegated myself to using my motorcycle pants but last thing I want to have happen is those to get damaged while not on my motorcycle.
I'm also, not a huge fan of the period underwear so take that into consideration with any suggestions.

Something like this:

Yep, those would do the trick.
However, looks like you need a belt to hold that stuff up...
How's that work?
-
You'd probably want to point them to your gambeson; you can sew little leather tabs, punch a hole and then lace the chausses to your gambeson. You might be able to get GDFB padded chausses for a good price on KoA.
-
You can also make them if you can use a sewing machine. Mine took be four or five hours including hand sewing the leather tabs for the tie strings.

Brian, do you have any pics of how your harness is laced up, specifically the legs?
-
I'm afraid not. I originally had them laced to a belt but now have them laced to my pourpoint.
Like this older picture:

Are you wanting to know how his chausses are laced, Sir William, or how the chausses themselves are constructed?
-
I have the GDFB ones as well. But I point my plate to my arming doublet.

Just how they were laced, thanks.

As you can tell from the picture provided by Sir Brian, it ought to be a pretty straight-forward project.

I actually need padded leggings/chausses for my chainmail chausses
