Excellent! That is a really great looking helm! :)

I like the version that is not rounded better
-
I like it.

Thanks for the opinions. Its going on my short list. It will fill a time period gap in my collection and will be lighter than my other helms which are all 14 gauge.

Will this be expected to face combat or not?
Have you looked at Zweihammer Armoury?

If it was heavy enough and visibility was decent, I would serisously consider using it in combat. That's a great link I haven't come across before and the price Wow!

Thats a nice helm you linked to. Just think it's a bit pricey but I haven't seen it in person yet. They got a ton of stuff I'd like to buy but it's way too pricey for my budget...
-
Also look at Clang Armoury and Anshelm Arms.
-
James de Avesnes, I do like this style of helm but the price does seem a little steep.

It is a bit pricey, but I like the look of it. Has anybody seen any similar type helms for sale on other websites?
-
Admitedly no where near as nice as the one you were looking at, but worth a look just for the price;

As with anything else in the armoring world, you get what you pay for. I do not know timeless tailors, but some of the other armorers that make quality goods price their helms at or around $300 depending on the complexity of the piece. I was looking at a Zweihammer topfhelm with the intention of getting it before I realized that the period for which it sits is earlier than I'm currently shooting for. It was a really nice sturdy example too...at a great price.
