Title: Jack Chains
Post by: Sir Wolf on 2011-05-30, 18:13:26
(http://i596.photobucket.com/albums/tt47/reenactthis/DSCN3858.jpg)

so i decided i needed a set of jack chains. i have 1 of a pair almost finished. they still need 2 solid rings and then be riveted together but you can see the progress. Not sure if I will make the second one today or not. just kinda had a bug to try and make a set.

Very cool! They are looking good!  :)

I actually mentioned to Sir Edward yesterday about kicking around the idea of picking up a pair for my lighter arming days.  ;)

They're looking pretty good! Yeah, it's a great idea for lighter armor.

Very well done indeed!  May I ask what tools you're using for your dishing?  Between this jack chains and the rondel for your poleaxe I'm very impressed with the uniform dishing and finish level. :)

Looks good Sir Wolf...and a good deal more protective than what I've seen out of GDFB...the pieces look wider for starters.

ya i dont know the mssrments of the GDFB ones. i think mine are like 4 in circles and 1 1/2 splints.

Sir Nathan don't you have a set of GDFB ones? comments?

I'm going to guess Ironmonger (if it's an older set) or Halberds (if it's a newer set)?
