Title: Game: Besiege
Post by: Sir Douglas on 2015-02-10, 21:56:18
One of the YouTubers I follow posted about this and I thought it might appeal to somebody. He first piqued my interest when he compared it to Kerbal Space Program. The official website (http://www.besiege.spiderlinggames.co.uk/) describes it as "A Physics Based Building Puzzler" and it looks kind of neat in a silly way. It's still in alpha (v0.03), but it's only $6.99 on Steam. I've not tried it myself yet, but I'm considering giving it a shot.

If nothing else, the video he posted is hilarious if you have twenty minutes to spare:

Cool, I'll have to watch it then. Physics puzzles can be fun, and I haven't played something like that in a while.

Watched it, and I'm sold. I'll have to blow up stuff later tonight. :)

I played around with it a little. There are some aspects of it that are frustratingly limited right now, such as not having very good methods to deploy the bombs and fireballs that are provided, and the cannons are strictly single-shot.

But it's clear that the game is in early development, and has a long way to go, so it will be interesting to see what it turns into. At the moment, it's enough to keep you occupied for an hour or so.
