Part of the M1 promotion in Russia- originally used as 'filler' material for in between MMA matches.

Totally crazy or totally awesome? I'm thinking, a bit of both- but that's what we're into, right boys?
-
So you will be getting into the Armored Combat League?
-
Been toying with the idea. Wife's less than enthused, though.
-
2 days till the IMCF, and shortly after you have BOTN.
-
Whomever wants info on ACL I can put them in touch with the right people. I am a referee for them and I have a bunch of friends that fought in the IMCF and now going to fight in the BoTN.
-
Haha two thousand miles is a little far.
Yea we are starting one because the ones up here in NH suck and there are only two of them.
-
I am wondering if there's not a group in the DC metro area - I've also toyed with the idea, Sir William.
-
Massachusetts here. If you need help with resources, let me know. :)

I believe IceFalcon (Andre Sinou) is from southern New Jersey, Bridgeton. Am I correct that he’s still the captain for the U.S.A. Knights?
-
Rodney, I believe you'd be right, Andre is still the captain for the U.S.A. team. Good guy, Andre is. Stellar customer service (Ice Falcon Armory) and decent, albeit off-the-rack wares.
Martyn, toying is about all I've done with it. I'm not in shape currently and it really shows- wearing just 30lbs of gear wore me out a couple of Saturdays ago. I'm just now back! ;)

Well let me know if you want to check this out, Sir William - could be good motivation/goal for both of us :)

It requires a different sort of kit altogether - which means a rather large cash outlay. It isn't something I've got on my books to handle at this time. I've been following the pertinent threads on AA- by necessity the armor has to be overbuilt and its pretty expensive (to me).
-
But they have soft kits we can train and try it out..

They definitely overbuild a lot of their kits. They use spring steel and titanium a lot. I was talking to a new friend of mine on facebook who's in the ACL, Brandon Alan Ross. I definitely recommend hitting him up if you need an in. Of course knowing a referee in the ACL is a big in as well (=
I myself am planning on graduating to the ACL once I have all the sufficient kit and am better trained. Right now the SCA is my go-to for my blood fix...but with throes, punches, kicks, and steel weapons going all out I certainly think the ACL is more in line with those who have a thirst for truly bloody conflict. The ex military jock in me wants to join partly for the camaraderie, but also to go to other countries and show 'em who's boss!
