Hail and well met, this is Rick from the Chicagoland area. I have been a fan of knight since I was a small boy. My dad was watching Ivanhoe and I looked at the screen and was hooked. Im looking to put some armor together to represent at Bristol ren faire this summer and possibly (if Im lucky) to join the Order of the Marshal. I try my best to lead a Chivalric lifestyle..Im partial to the Old Code from Dragonheart.

Never been to Chi Town. Closest I ever got was a stay in Joliet for a job. Have you looked into an SCA or HEMA groups in your area? The Chicago Swordplay Guild is keen & your local SCA group is Here (http://www.midrealm.org/findgroup.php).
