Supposedly this is the newest version of the SCA Heavy Combat & Marshal regs.

YMMV in whatever Kingdom you live.

"November 2013:
Update to Handbook: Remove item #16,under Weapon Standards, Section A.

VII. WEAPONS STANDARDS
A. General
16. Weapons under 48" (1.22 m) or greater than 7' 6" (2.29 m) in length may have either a thrusting tip or a butt spike, but not both at the same time. The madu was not a weapon of individual combat during the SCA's period of study, and therefore it is excluded."

As will I but I do know that my Kingdom Earl Marshal has promised that he will kick out a list of the West Kingdom changes, or just a West Kingdom Manual, so please contact your local Marshallate to find out if they are adding anything to this.

That's why my madu is 49"... Oops...I mean my stick with a buckler on it...lol
