Title: Knight's Play - Luke Binks mini-doc
Post by: Ian on 2015-02-22, 21:17:39
Here's a cool 25 minute documentary that Red Bull did.  It focuses on international jouster Luke Binks, set to the backdrop of his preparation and participation in the Grand Tournament of Sankt Wendel, which is probably the most historically accurate re-creation of a tournament since the real thing.  That tournament, I believe was set up by Arne Koets, and featured the use of solid lances with steel coronels for the first time in a modern tournament.  Luke Binks is also an incredibly gifted armorer and you do get to see him working a bit.

I got around to watching that. Absolutely breathtaking detail on the armor and effort put into the tournament. I do like the aspect of the video that revolves around Luke Binks making a vary relatable person. Almost inspiring. That is if you get to live in Scandinvia on a farm with suits of armor  :'(
