I've seen a few Rev War kits at Fort Mifflin when I was there. Talking to the guys that do that, it gets really expensive really fast. They look cool, though. Most of those guys are either British or American Regulars. Might be cool to do an American Irregullar or Militiaman, but I got my hands full with my 16th/17th century stuff now. After that I need to finish off my 14th and 15th century gonners and then my Teutonic Knight before I even think about doing anything else. Besides, my wife would kill me if I started even thinking or talking about doing another time period  :D

LOL I heard that, Matt.  No matter the century, it can get costly once you start lookin for the minutiae.

Nope. the single action 44.s we sling down here are real. Mine's a Virginian Dragoon with an 8.5 inch barrel. We have an "Old west" town called "Love Valley" where you can carry a piece,(several years ago), but it had to be loaded...

hehehe.

for Christmas i got:
rev war: shoes, buckles, breeches, buttons and patterns for my shirt and waist coat. already had the hat
wild west: pants, suspenders, shirt, vest and tie. already have the boots.

i am thinking of picking up with some Christmas money the hat and holster for the wild west. but i can't decide hehe cause i wanna get the 14thc houndskull or a 3rd bc sword to work on those kits tooo ahhhhhhhh well what i may do is order the houndskull thru Therion and not get the gauntlets with the MT gift card. then it will be cheaper. but then there are teh 14thc shoes at Viking LEathers too. sigh hehehe well I can wait on some till March (birthday time!) ;)  might be able to get 4 kits done this year (3rd bc, 14th, 18th & 19th) minus the rifles and guns.

Yeah Love Valley is actually a wild west town, storefronts, saloon, etc. It's pretty amazing to go there on a Saturday night and have a drink with the locals and just watch the characters who ramble through. I guess thats why I'm just not into the persona thing...

And o yeah, Sir Wolf is ALWAYS pondering and scheming on something or other... :D

Sir Wolf check out Middlesex Trading Company or Veteran Arms. I'm not sure about the revolver, but I know both have flintlocks that are appropriate for the Rev War era. They are reproducion pieces but are still really nice.
