Title: Introductions from Svyatoslav
Post by: Stanislaw on 2012-12-17, 01:01:24
Greetings and hello, members of modernchivalry.org. I am Svyatoslav, a medieval/dark ages history enthusiast, and Sir Ulrich recommended for me to join this forum. He is a good friend of mine online, and he kind of got me into the whole historical reenacting scene...   :)

I am currently a fan of Viking/Slavic reenacting, and have recently ordered some of my first equipment. Hope to hear from you all! :D

Viking Era stuff, as well as most of the medieval period. I tend to like the looks of swords like type X , XIIa, and XVa.

Hail and well met and welcome to the forum!

For an authentic Viking look ensure your helm does NOT have horns! – Besides it upsets Sir Wolf! ;)

Where in Oregon will you be moving?

An old family friend, Duke Sir James Greyhelm (SCA) lives in Ashland, and I used to live in the Barony of Three Mountains (Portland). There is a large Scandinavian SCA contingent up there.

Coincidentally, I will indeed be living in Portland beginning in the latter part of 2013 (Reed College).

Ah, yes indeed!  ;)

My current aim is a blend of East Viking and Slavic stuff.
