Title: R2-Droid project

You know, that's not a bad idea. I'm taking him to a convention in a few weeks, and it's unlikely that I'll have worked on the skins yet. I should find a plastic leaf or something. That would be funny. :)

I'm hoping the drive belts come in this week, and are the right size. I'm trying really hard to make him "functional" for the convention I'm going to in a few weeks. He won't be anywhere near "done" though.

He's on his feet and he's moving! :) After this, it's mostly detail work, which will be no less time-consuming and expensive, I'm sure.

I have a 12-button remote, with one sound effect on each, except the last button that randomly cycles through about 20 of them.

Nothing below the neck is painted or has details attached yet, etc, but I finally got the shoulder horse-shoe pieces glued together and the "booster covers" attached, so the legs are looking more like their proper thickness now.
