Pfft. It snowed around me too. And I lost internet Thursday night. STILL don't have it. Went to my parents house. :)

So no internet meant no work got done friday. Normally, I'd be okay with that and I'd get some armor stuff done. It was so darn cold I could barely work in the garage. Only got one gauntlet cleaned, part of a helmet, but I did get my armor wiped down, oiled, and back on the stand. I took some holiday pictures in armor. Thread forthcoming once I'm done filtering and uploading. :)

We didn't get snowed in over here, but it was enough that they closed our offices on Friday. Today, with the ice and semi-freezing rain, there were accidents and some roads closed in the Leesburg area. Just generally icky out there.

We got a foot (which is a lot in St Louis). Tomorrow the high will be zero with -30 windchills. Roads should be cleared in time for work though  :(

I almost slipped on black ice letting my husky out, then she slipped and almost hurt herself, had my dad put salt out, also our house is low on food thankfully with my mini fridge I dont have to worry about "eating all thats mine" before people eat it on me so I am doing quite ok, other than worrying about ice. Feels like I am on Hoth in Star Wars ESB.

I'll let this professional meteorologist describe the current weather conditions around my neck of the woods:

Disagree.

If he can walk around without pants or underwear and not be cold, I'm doing something wrong.

Ugh.  Peer pressure.  lol

Might want to add- 'after you've been outside in it for at least an hour'...otherwise, it might not be cold enough.  ;)

It was so cold here last night that the lights in my garage wouldn't even turn on. Those ballast-tube lights. I had to use a flash light!

I grew up in northern Minnesota and usually laugh at the folks down south in the Twin Cities, but the last week has been BRUTAL.  School was canceled statewide on Monday by the Governor and most stayed closed Tuesday as well.

Both my elementary age children got to wait at the bus stop this morning at a much improved -9 F (-23 F wind chill).

For comparison, the bus stop temperature in the Twin Cities on Monday was -21 F (-46 F wind chill).  Even for an Iron Ranger from up north, that’s cold.   :o

I think this is one of those rare circumstances where "pics or it didn't happen" do not apply.  lol

We Didn't have a state wide school closing here in p.a., Probly cause alot of schools had just has snow days. Some schools gave off due to wind chills, but our district didn't.

So... it's going to be in the 40's-50's here in Reno with lows in the 20's. Coldest we've had all winter in my neighborhood (the desert right outside of town gets colder) was about -5.

Coldest I've ever seen here was -10. Good luck guys.
