Nevermind, I bought it. :)
I have an auto-search set up on ebay to look for these. MRL lately has been selling what amounts to a store-bought type of Halloween costume. The costume has fake fabric-mail sleeves attached, and so on.
Instead, these stand-alone surcoats were actually pretty well made, so of course they discontinued them. My original goal was to get the entire set, but I'll be happy with a few key characters, Lancelot being one of them of course.

Ninja'd by the Commander. It is all good...I really shouldn't be buying anything at the moment anyway, but I seem to recall you mentioning we might do a Monty Python-style event or gathering, or maybe we'd all show up on DoW garbed as those storied knights!

Your wearing that if you go to p.a renfaire

At VARF for 2012 we did a "guest appearance" with the Black Knight and King Arthur on the last show of Sunday at the longsword demos. I bet we can fit Lancelot in there somewhere too.

so how many surcoats are there now of the MPHG?

When MRL originally released them, they had the black knight, arthur, lancelot, robin, galahad, and bedevere.
So far I have the black knight, Arthur, and now (soon) Lancelot.
Galahad's is just a templar surcoat, so no biggie there (I could always make/get one of those), but Bedevere's is kinda cool, and Robin's is kinda complex too. No idea if I'll ever find the rest.

This one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/231109093993 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/231109093993)
It actually doesn't look so bad, overall, for a joke of a movie prop. Still, I don't think I want to spend $350 on a Monty Python replica.

Someone is now selling the King Arthur surcoat on ebay:

This is one of the discontinued surcoats that were actually pretty decent, not the new "Halloween costume" version. I already have this one.

Wouldn't fit my robust frame...besides...money for armor! must build kit!

A worthy goal!

Remember that part, Were The black Knight kills Sir brian "Cough" That green knight.
And the sword goes right through the helmet.
Thats why Its good to save up for a decent Kit.
so even if your dead, Your helmet wont have a sword through it.
