Somehow I haven't seen this yet, and it was released 7 months ago:
Ironclad 2 Battle for Blood [[OFFICIAL TRAILER 2013]] (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-d8wi3GdLSw#ws)

Huh. I had heard there was a sequel in the works, but I hadn't seen this either. It looks like the only thing connecting it to the first film is that there's another castle battle. ;)
-
Iron Clad is back, more over the top then the last! More sex, nudity, bewbs, and blood like never before! See men yell even louder! See women covered in blood! BLOOD WILL RUN... AGAIN!
-
Oh for God sakes!

When it comes to medieval-themed movies, we're often left w/the short stick in some way. As was stated, there's no real discernible link between this movie and its predecessor but hey, its gonna have boobs, swords, lots of blood and battles- does it really get any better than that?
Well sure, good acting but that's not always guaranteed; by the way, perhaps it is me but this seems it will be of lower budget than the first one. Thought I noticed the Stark woman as the only recognizable face in that clip- and according to said clip, the main character is the cousin of Guy de Lusignan so who knows, maybe there'll be some more Templar goodness in this one as well.

Only with higher quantities/qualities of boobs, swords, blood and battles :D
-
This movie is definitly going to be marked with my special icon. Oh I wasn't mocking it haha i was summing up the trailer. Sir James does have a point... Who cares about acting. If I cared about acting I would have never watched Excalibur, which has boobs/armor/swords/battles, it was awesome. Haha just joking, If it wasn't for the acting, the LoTR movies would never had become what they were. That movie had a perfect cast.

Was that Catelyn Stark I spotted at 0:31?

Sure looked like her to me.

But no Paul Giamatti!!!
-
That's disappointing. I like Paul Giammati. He's really a nice guy.
-
He's really a nice guy.
Except when he's King John. ;)
-
Besides, didn't King John die shortly thereafter anyway?

According to the movie, he died of dysentery (or similar) while fleeing / roaming
-
Yes, well...unless this is a prequel, makes sense there's no John. I wonder if the Marshal might make an appearance, seeing as he was Henry III's regent for a couple/few more years until he too passed (the Marshal, not Henry).
-
I had the serendipitous pleasure of meeting Giamati. While I was working at a museum at Antietam Battlefield he popped in for a visit.

That's pretty cool. It's always nice to get a chance to meet the actors. But I'm assuming he wasn't King John at the time. :)

LOL!
"Hey aren't you Paul Giamati? Nice to meet you! Loved you in Ironclad."
"Away with you vile peasant! I am the King of England!"
Hehehe!
-
Giamatti is a gifted actor; I can't recall a single role of his that I did not believe; I found him to be both disgusting and yet oddly sympathetic in Shoot'm Up- a mostly pure popcorn movie with some very credible acting from Mr. G. Clive Owen as the stoic anti-hero's no stretch for that man. lol
-
It seems to have all of the requisit elements - sex, violence and violent sex.
-
we could have made a better movie lol Paul is an awesome actor, always liked his stuff
-
Will the sequel continue with king Louis....who was a french prince and the first sucsessor of king John before Henry III? He was King of England for nearly a year before he was dethroned and pretty much just vanished from the records.

Well He did come at the end of the first Ironclad, I either they will just talk about the series of events that happened in a prologue or they will put in the beginning of the film, make quick mention of it, or ignore it completely.
