Title: Special Pre-Tourney Knosh?
Post by: Thorsteinn on 2014-02-02, 19:45:43
Do you have a special drink or food you take before entering a major tourney?

Mine is a large coffee with sugar & cream or an iced triple espresso & milk, and an energy bar.

Gatorade and/or water

Gatorade and/or water

I also prefer Gatorade or a pitcher of water with fresh cut lemon slices floating about.  Coffee makes me cramp up and the mead is reserved for later in the evening.   ;)

Water and beef jerky, usually, but not too much.

Hey!! We already did the 'fava beans & chianti' bit here. Let's get some originality going.

Kitten burgers.
Sounds yummy!  My diet for a three day event (long ago) consisted of home brewed beer, pickled eggs and dried/cured meat.  My tent mates were NOT pleased.  :o

What about normal pickles?

Note to self: Lord Rodney gets his own tent!

Cat tastes (and looks) like chicken; dog may look like beef but it does not taste like it.

No, they only smell like pork when being burned (or cooked if you will) - it doesn't taste like anything you've had before.  ;)

I had to lay of the humans. Apparently there high in cholesterol.
So it's just Cheerios with a teaspoon of kitten bits for me.
The trick to a good dog is to cook for 5 hours at 450 degrees in a conventional oven.
The real trick is to add seasoning and stuffing at the 3 hour point. Some taters and carrots, well it's fine eatings.
Someone offered me chicken once. I brought down the slap of justice because of it.
