Words cannot even describe the reaction I had when I saw this:

THAT is what jousting with a solid lance does.
I no longer want to do anything but joust with pool noodles, or maybe balsa lances like A Knights Tale.
Egads.

I still want to do it at least once...
-
Yow! I guess that's what happens when both guys hit their mark.

hehehe its Rod! he has some awesome kits! a FB friend ;)

Been a lifelong dream it has...and thinking back to some of the crazy things I've done in the past, this won't raise too many eyebrows- at least, not amongst the members of my family. Hell, they almost expect to hear it already. lol

Here lies Sir William.
He was warned that he should not go,

I don't want to spoil the video by posting the comments, but look at the Youtube comments for Roderic's reply to "jesus what happened after?" ... eek!
-
Walk it off! ;)

I don't know if you saw the replies from the high end jousters in the archive or not but they said this is really a rare occurrence among good riders:

If I decide to use that as my epitaph, I'll be sure they credit you!

Those weren't completely solid. Those were the 1 ft balsa tipped ones.
Now they use 3 ft and saw them a little.
