For anyone interested, SCA - East Kingdom Crown Full-Armoured & Archery Tournament @ Sommer Draw being hosted by the Barony of Bergental (Granby, MASS) will be next weekend 6/6-6/8/2012. I'll be fighting for my Order trying to win the Crown's accolades. Anyone else coming or fighting, please let me know.
I'll be camping for the event with my colors flying above my battle tent. Stop by & wish me luck. :) I promise to have lots of pics for display of the event. My wife serves as squire & photographer when not serving as my "Lady". :)

Will you be attending Pennsic War 41??
-
Nope. Can't afford it. Heck I can't afford Antir/West War or Great Western either. :(
-
Hear that. My wife & I are trying to enjoy as much as we can. I'm staying local with the events I attend & faires I go to for now. I'd be willing to hit NJ/NY/MD area some time. It's not that far.
-
Most events happen in the population center of the West Kingdom which is Sacramento (130 miles away) or greater San Francisco/ Oakland/ San Jose area (210 miles away).
In the time it takes me to reach southern Oregon for A/W War I can drive from Hartford, CT to Youngstown, OH.
BTW both my parents grew up not 2 hrs from the Pennsic site. It's why my mom will never go to Pennsic. She hates that part of the world in August. ;)

I sympathize. My mom retired with my stepdad not too far away in Eldred, PA. I am going to postpone Pennsic for a Florida vacation instead. :)

Change of plans my brethren. My wife had to go the hospital for an infection to her back killing my battle plans. :( She spent the week before camping & tanning and got some kind of bacterial infection requiring emergency room treatment. Hence, she's unable to squire & I must attend to her this weekend... My apologies. Anti-biotics & painkillers for her & lots of drinking for me. Guess I'll finish things at home. :(
-
oh man thats horrible. hope she gets well soon!
-
Get her well!
-
Many thanks, Sir Wolf & Sir Thorsteinn. Would've been very humid to fight anyways. :(
-
I will certainly hope for a speedy recovery!
-
Get her well!

There will always be another tournament, not so for a soulmate- you did the right thing; may her recovery be swift.
