Awww...can't bring my new hammer. :(
-
No sword, musket or pike so I guess I'm out. Well, I'm busy at PaRF anyway. Too bad because this sounds awesome.

I'm still waiting for my new one from the myArmoury contest. ;) (I wish)
This thread was created when I added the opening day of the MN Ren Fest to the Modern Chivalry calendar (http://modernchivalry.org/forum/index.php?action=calendar). :)

The only way you get to handle pole weapons at our Ren Fest is to either be a member of the Queen's Gaurd or hang out at the Arms & Armor booth. ;)

Ah, is that where A&A has their booth? Man, that would make the trip worth it by itself. But the faire's season overlaps with way too many other things for me this year. and I'll see A&A at WMAW anyway. :)
-
Wow, 250+ vendors? That sounds fantastic. I wish I had the time & gas/hotel money to make a trip for a weekend. Have fun, Lord Rodney!
-
I was unable to hit the opening weekend due to prior commitments. :(
The reports I recieved were all glowing (we had beautiful weather). :)
-
A little to far to travel on a single weekend. I will have to add this faire to my
"When I become filthy rich and own a uber-huge tour bus motor home, I'll visit" list! ;)
-
haahhahaah

Good list, Sir Brian...I have a similar one for when I hit the lottery.

I survived last weekend at the MN Ren Fest, just barely. I was "volunteered" by my lovely bride to help chaperone 47 high school students. :o
It really wasn't that bad, the kids were great and we had a ton of fun. Although, I was dragging a bit by the end of a 10 hour day.
My son has now decided to take up jousting, guess I'll be putting yet another kit together. ;)
-
Sounds like a good time was had by all and you are extremely brave to undertake such a perilous duty as chaperoning 47 high school students! :o
As to your son jousting, now is the time to get him trained so we can perhaps see him in the 10th season of full armor jousting that is now in production with the History Channel! ;)
-
I'd have a hard time with 4 to 7 high school students, let alone 47. I hope you put the armor to good use to keep them in line! :)

Only if he can unseat me as I'll be reigning Champion by then. ;) Looks like you had a blast Rodney...who had more fun, you or the kids? lol
-
When I'm there, I'm "one of the kids"! ;)
-
Fantastic, a man after my own heart...for that is exactly the way of it for me. :)
