Title: The Archer's Son
Post by: Ian on 2014-07-11, 16:44:12
Our very own Sir Humphrey (Mark Hubbs) has just released in kindle form his novel The Archer's Son (http://www.amazon.com/Archers-Son-M-E-Hubbs-ebook/dp/B00LNSETMI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1405096779&sr=8-2&keywords=the+archer%27s+son)!.  The paperback will be available in a few weeks!  It's a young adult novel surrounding the circumstances of the Agincourt campaign ca. 1415.  I'm very proud to have been part of this project.  Mark came to me to do the graphic design work for the cover.   Here is what we came up with!  This is very exciting for me as it's my first commercially published graphic art.

Thanks everyone!  Signed copies can be had for a small fee by the author and the cover artist... haha, I'm just kidding!  But please do support Mark by purchasing a copy in your chosen format!

Good morning,

I have just finished reading The Archer's Son and would like to congratulate our Sir Humphrey on his book.  Well done sir!  it was well paced and had what I thought was good character  development.
I was going to ask him about how he chose the names of his protagonist but he took the time to  explain it at the end of the book. So thanks for that.  I guess I liked the 'good" guys as I was meant  to  and of course disliked the few villain that darned show there faces.  I like how Sir Humphrey linked both historical personages with individuals created out of his vivid imagination.  Again well done. If you have not picked up a copy yet, please do.

Timothy

I finished this a few days ago...it was a solid read.  For me, a good book is one where I want it to continue and that's just how I felt when I finished.  Nicely done, Sir Humphrey.  I'm sure I'll read it again soon.

I've been overseas on buisness for the last couple of weeks and just found this thread.  My thanks to Sir Ian for starting it and for the fine job he did on the cover.  Thanks for all the kind words from my fellow knights.  The reviews on Amazon have been gratifying and the book stayed #1 in Hot New Releases in Kid's medieval fiction for almost a month.  Thanks again!

Sir Humphrey
