Anyone used and of Shock Doctors 6 pad MMA shorts (https://www.shockdoctor.com/velocity-shockskin-mma-6-pad-impact-short-with-ultra-carbon-flex) for SCA heavy as hidden thigh protection?

I currently have moderate success using Nike Pro shorts with the little hexagonal pads.  The product you’ve shown appears to have better protection in the rear thigh and rump.  These two areas seem to attract swords when you screw up your footwork on a high head wrap. :o

I use the football ones and it doens't wrap around to the part that always gets hit...but if hit there it doesn't sting too bad...

So I think it would be okay...maybe some quilted cuisses over it (either densely stuffed or 4 layers and in 1in separations in the quilting.
