Post by: Lord Dane on 2014-06-28, 00:18:02
http://www.medieval-market.com/ (http://www.medieval-market.com/)
http://www.reenactorswarehouse.com/ (http://www.reenactorswarehouse.com/)
Found these sites websurfing. Stuff looks period authentic and decently priced.

Sir Edward, can you add these sites to the shopping list??

The gambesons at Medieval Market look to be put together very well.   :)

Has anyone heard of them before?

Has anyone heard of them before?

I've only browsed the site before, I've never heard of anyone buying from them in the states.

Another site that I can verify does good work with similar products is Matul's.  http://www.matuls.pl/index.php?Lng=en (http://www.matuls.pl/index.php?Lng=en)

or Marcin Kokosz's site http://www.gambeson.pl (http://www.gambeson.pl)

I know people who have ordered from those two and all had great results.

Any of those 3 sites offers off-the-rack clothes that are way more historic looking than most anything off-the-rack available on this side of the pond.

I can't locate it on any of the other tools I've tried before, they're all redirecting to the same site you just provided.  Who made it?  The only Ukraine stuff I've ordered was from Armstreet a few years ago and their tracking numbers always worked.

I've had much better luck tracking orders from Poland (like Lorifactor).  gambeson.pl is Polish, just so there's no confusion.  Your post kinda made it sound like the Ukraine tracking issue you have is related to gambeson.pl, which I realize you didn't mean.

Yeah I just meant European shipping is a hassle. It was an independent armor on the AA and his tracking numbers have worked for others but recently two different people had trouble with tracking numbers. One of them has received his helmet. The other has not yet. He told me it was stuck in customs :(

International shipping is a weird beast. Stuff I order from Poland goes through customs in a day. I send a scabbard to Canada for brass firings and it takes Canadian customs a week to clear it. Sometimes there's no rhyme or reason.  I'm sure your stuff will get through soon.   Hopefully....  :)

Apparently the Steel-Mastery guys have created a sub-division that offers cheaper products with faster delivery (more for the masses). Thought it would be worth adding to our links list.  ;)
