For Sale: Albion Sovereign
Das Bill:
Albion Sovereign for sale: $615. This includes shipping to the continental US. International buyers will pay extra for shipping. That's almost half off of a brand new one.
The catch? Well, first off, this sword is not sharpened. It has been a sword I've used for demos of historical European martial arts. As such, it has seen use against other swords, and has minor edge damage and some scuffing along the flat. I'm sure if you sharpened the sword it would take care of the knicks for the most part.
Also, since I have used it for demos, it gets passed around quite a bit. Little kids put their finger prints all over it. Many years ago I just gave up on trying to keep it clean, and it shows. The sword has surface corrosion all over, and the steel pommel is a fairly even dark brown. All of this is on the surface, and could be polished off with a little bit of elbow grease.
Otherwise, the sword is still rock solid. If you cleaned it up and sharpened it, you'd have a sword that is almost the same as a brand new Albion, and at almost half the price.
I accept check/money order or PayPal. For PayPal, please add the 3% to cover the fees; for personal checks I'll need to wait a week or so to make certain it clears.
You can see the stats here on my collection gallery (as well as pictures of what the sword looks like when it's actually polished):

Here are the pics of what it looks like right now. (Don't judge me! )
Sir Edward:
The blade could probably be cleaned up pretty easily. I'd almost be tempted to leave the natural patina on the hilt components.
For the folks here who can't usually afford an Albion, this is a good deal if you're willing to do some cleanup!
Sir Wolf:
sigh, no money. just bought a British Officer's Fusil (flintlock)
Sir Brian:
It is a sweet deal but I already have too many other $$$ commitments. :(
Sir Ulrich:
NICE!! It has an aged look. Almost tempted to get it.
