Pulling a sword from stone

(1/2) > >>

Ser Cor Volaire:
Hello all,
I am looking at purchasing a sword for my late 12th early 13th century living history impression. I am aiming at portraying a Sicilian Norman knight, as well as putting together a Templar impression from the same period. The sword is, as always, a linchpin of the offensive kit. I am dedicated to historical accuracy, but cost is a factor. I am willing to spend money but not break the bank. I am familiar with the common sellers (Albion, as well as re-sellers). Any direction on a proper sword and scabbard would be appreciated.

Thorsteinn:
Nathan would know well that one. Same with Ed. Have you bugged them?

Ser Cor Volaire:
I have not, and love the title; Dodger of suicidal bostonians. awesome

Bayard_Davis-Munro:
just remember, pull the sword and you are king ;)

Welcome and I look forward to following your build

Sir Nate:
There is Swordmaker who makes his own swords and scabbards (Maciej Kopciuch )
http://artofswordmaking.com/
and then there is also Mateusz Sulowski
http://sulowskiswords.com/

Both of them generally cost the same as Albion, and Arms and Armor.
but they are both european so you may end up spending more because of shipping, but it shouldnt be too bad.
