Uhm... yeah. I know from test-cutting that no matter how carefully you line up, there's a good chance the blade will end up a couple of inches off target. And with alcohol there? It's much more likely to happen.

I did a lot of dumb things involving alcohol in my younger days, but nothing this stupid.   ???

I believe you’re eligible for the annual Darwin award only if you actually die.   ;)

Oh?  I thought it was for anyone who probably should die as well.  We need another kind of award other than 'here is your sign' for ones such as these.  ;)

This comment on that video won the internet for today:

Does this group have no voice of reason? I mean really...all of them were yeses? What about the nose?

Tricks like that are just asking for accidents, and it doesn't prove you're a good swordsman, either. It only proves you're dumb enough to put someone else's life on the line to make yourself possibly look good. Uhh, with friends like that, who needs enemies?

Youch. It's hard to tell from the video how serious of an injury it was. But people do tend to underestimate what a sword is capable of.

LOL, I suppose they would have actually respected a katana, right? Because clearly that would have taken the guy's head off instead. ;)

Reminds me of the time I put a sword through my friends ear - and I was sober!
