Pourpoint
scott2978:
Some pics of my newly completed pourpoint. Actually I still need to point the leg harness to it, but the construction is finished.
I like the look, although I kinda screwed up the placement of the eyelets a little. Being the first real garment I've ever made in my life, considering the complexity I think it's a testament to Tasha's pattern that I was able to create this all by myself.
It's all machine sewn except for the 42 hand sewn eyelets (8 of which are still forthcoming).
Next: Split hose!
Ian:
Looks great Scott! Tasha's pattern is awesome! For what it's worth your lacing hole placement looks pretty darn good to me. The fit looks like you nailed it.
Take some time to decide where you want to place your lacing holes for the legs so you get them just where you want 'em. The nice things about lacing holes though, is you can remove them and the fabric 'heals' since you don't make any cuts (unlike buttonholes ;) )
Sir Douglas:
Ahh, eyelets. Everyone's favorite thing in the world to sew! ;)
I think it looks fantastic, especially for a first garment! Plus, I really like the color.
Sir Edward:
Wow, nice job! The fit looks absolutely perfect, as does the lacing. Great!
Sir Martyn:
Nice job - you've inspired me :)
