Mike W.:
Has any else noticed that the 1st-4th Crusades seem to get all the attention and all the others seem forgotten? Any thoughts?

Just ask Sir Nathan about the Baltic Crusades! ;-)
Sir Douglas:
What about the Reconquista? It started out as just a military conquest, but wasn't it eventually sanctioned by the Pope and turned into a crusade of its own?
Mike W.:
I'm interested in the later Crusades, but there are very few historical works that cover the subject. Everyone seems more focused on the 1st and the 3rd.
Sir Edward:
That's true. When people collectively refer to "The Crusades", they often mean 1-3. The later crusades had some different political and economic influences, and of course Jerusalem wasn't taken back, so people tend to gloss over it.
