I kept my armor on a stand for one winter then found it was more effort putting it on and taking it off the stand than it was to on myself so it’s all back in the boxes! ;)

Technically, I did not get any armor or medieval gear for Christmas. However, in a timing coincidence, I got a box today (Dec 26th) of some armor that I ordered from the Ukraine back in November. I'll upload pics in a new thread after I get a couple things squared away with it tonight.

Douglas - The Ffoulkes book is interesting. I've run through it lightly and it seems to have good info, I didn't see anything glaringly wrong or confusing. The Medieval Soldier is good too, if it's the one I'm thinking I have, it has some good "living history" pics by a UK group.

Also - where did you get that shirt? TOTALLY WANT!!

Yeah, I've only skimmed through the Ffoulkes book a little last night, but it seems like it has some good stuff in it. It was only like a penny on Amazon plus shipping, so hey...can't beat that!
The Company of St. George was involved in The Medieval Soldier, so it might be the one you're thinking of. Actually, they were involved with the Medieval Military Costume book, too. I sort of geeked out a little when I saw John Howe (the artist) was in them.

They sold the shirt at the winery at the PA RenFest. I got one at my last visit, and I wear it so much that my folks got me another one. ;D

You know, I have been going to the PA Renfair for half my life being a Pennsylvanian. But, I have never actually entered the Mount Hope winery. I guess I was always so excited to get into the fair and very tired when I leave because I spend the whole day there. Well it looks like I know what I am getting next time I am there lol. :)

I ended up getting a Mini Fridge so when I move to my own place I will have one and so people don't eat my food by accident which annoys me to a huge extent. I ended up also getting Rosetta Stone for German full set too, parents want me to learn German so when I go there I will know my way around there and be able to communicate properly and my own accord because to me German is a downright badass language and looks easier to learn than Hungarian which I tried a bit but is too hard. Also got a bronze Icelandic wolf cross to replace my cheap pewter Hammer of Thor. Got a jacket to go to Iceland in which will be in march as well as an Icelandic English dictionary so I will know what each word means when I am there despite most of them knowing English I doubt the signs will be in English. Got a helmet stand for my helm and some shelves finally to put all my stuff on so it wont be scattered on the floor. Also got hard copies of my DoK 2 photos and some gift cards for KoA.
