The part that I am unsure of the most is for the axe, do you state the color of the blade or the handle first?

That's a good question, I'm not sure. But that only comes up if you colorize the the parts separately anyway. If the entire thing is argent, then you would just call it an "axe argent".

I suppose one option could be something like "an axe argent hafted gules" if you wanted a red handle, for instance.
