Sirs,

This is the first song from the Oscar winning Score The Lion in Winter by John Barry, 1968.

Regis regum rectissimi
prope est dies domini,
dies irae et vindictae,
tenebrarum et nebulae,
diesque mirabilium
tonitruorum fortium,
dies quoque angustiae,
maeroris ac tristitae.

Day of the king most righteous,
The day is nigh at hand,
The day of wrath and vengeance,
And darkness on the land.
Day of thick clounds and voices,
Of mighty thundering,
A day of narrow anguish
And bitter sorrowing.

Tim

You never said what mood
[br Barry Or and Vert surmounting a Bend counterchanged],
a Lion rampant armed and langued Gules
an Orle of eight Trefoils slipped Sable counterchanged Or .

Absolutely awesome song Mr. Gallagher!  Well done!  It's interesting, but you can hear where John Williams got his inspiration in that song, most definitely.  It's awesome.

here's one for you all  8)

Heather Alexander - "March of Cambreadth" awesome song... and again with war fast approaching, I can't think of a better song to work on my galloglaigh kit.

Trust me.

It is a good one; most soundtracks for medieval movies with a decent budget are pretty good.  KoH, Arn come to mind.

Most of the stuff I would have suggested has already been mentioned. You guys have good tastes. ;)

I'll add some Faun into the mix:

And some Adrian von Ziegler:

Per pale azure and argent, an eagle displayed per pale argent and sable, armed and langued or.

So a Norman, a Saxon, and a Viking walk into England....

I found Adrian von Ziegler last night.  His stuff is amazing!
I've been listening to this:

as I cram for war.  It's a great song that lends itself well to a long repeat.

Ha! Never thought anyone else would even know who Von Ziegler is! Check out his requiem album, too; it's not medieval, it's a bit of mixture, but it's how I first found him. He also has a "2 hours of celtic music" mix on YouTube (he posted it himself, it's legit).. it's only about 80 minutes, not a full 2 hours, but still cool. :)

I know these are definitely modern, and it is Linkin Park.  But for me, they've always been there since graduating High School and signing up.  They're still there for me now, and I do enjoy listening to them before a tournament.

I listen to these three in this order to help meditate before a tournament.  Helps put things in perspective and for me, why I do what I do when they say "and salute to those that hold your favour"

I also didn't put up the music videos, they're all very good.  Just Castle of Glass especially hits home hard for me, and I'm sure it does others here as well.  If you wish to see those, and if you haven't please do so, they're excellent.

This might be a big throwback (Sega CD!):

Stumbled on it and remembered how much I liked it as a teenager. The lyrics are pretty awesome considering it was done specifically for a video game.

The Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament soundtrack really does it for me. The music that they use for the show is beautiful and perfectly suits whatever mood they are trying to portray, be it a battle or the horse show.
Some say that the age of chivalry is past, that the spirit of romance is dead. The age of chivalry is never past, so long as there is a wrong left unredressed on earth.
