Merctailor and Various other pieces for sale

(1/3) > >>

Ian:
Gents, since I am moving to VA in 3 weeks, I need to unload the armor that I no longer use and want to give you guys the first look.  I do not intend to move any of this armor if I can help it.  I will update with prices later, but they will obviously be cheaper for people here.  I will also post on the AA, but if you are interested, you get first dibs and it will be less expensive.

Photos are all contained in this flickr album:

2. Merctailor Demi-Gauntlets - $100 OBO - SOLD
3. Merctailor Cased Greaves - $100 OBO - SOLD
4. Merctailor Pauldrons (no haute pieces) - SOLD

10.  Windrose Armory SCA Transitional Pauldrons $100 OBO - SOLD

The windrose pieces are stainless I believe.  Everything else is mild steel.  Some pieces may have slight surface rust, but all are strapped and none are damaged, and none have been fought in.

The little squares on the photo are all 0.5 inches, so you can see the dimensions right on the photo.

Sir James A:
Ooh! Let me see if that cuirass will fit. Been wanting a 14th century with faulds for a "middle" harness, between simple breast and back and the full 15th/16th century style. Can't quite tell from the pictures, do you know what the upper / lower circumference is (chest / ribcage area)? I think I can see height from sternum to floating ribs in the picture. Thanks!

Edit: Those squares are half an inch? Is it 16" from the bottom of the neckline to the flare for the fauld? I feel like I'm not counting that right..

Edit2: Might be in for the pauldrons and plate gorget too, pending price and fitment.

Ian:
It's about 15.5 inches from the neckline to the flare in the fauld.

The cuirass with the breast and back just touching at the sides is about 44'' in circumference at the waist, and it can get a lot smaller, chest is closer to 46'' and adjustable around that point depending on how much of a gap you allow for at the top.

You're talking about the merctailor pauldrons right?  The smallest lame on the upper arm is set up for about a 17'' circumference and can be opened up wider if needed.

The plate gorget measures 20'' circumference around the outside of the neck opening (inside circumference would probably be closer to 19.5''

Price, I have no idea what to ask for, I'm willing to accept any reasonable offer.

Sir James A:
Cool, those are very similar measurements to what I've got, so they should fit no problem. Interested in all 3 (merctailor pauldrons, yes) and will get back to you for pricing shortly.

Sir Edward:

I forget which part of VA you said you were planning to move to. Does this mean we might get to see you out at VARF this year? :)
