Cheap hourglass gauntlets
Sir Edward:
I saw Jess post about these on Facebook:
http://www.kaswords.com/medieval-renaissance-functional-hourglass-gauntlets-set.aspx
Folks were saying they're pretty good for the price. Only one or two minor annoying bits.
But get this, they're $96 and the website requires a minimum of a $100 order.
Sir William:
Ha! That'll kill those potential orders. I can't see them, of course. lol
Sir Wolf:
nice. well add this http://www.kaswords.com/kettle-helm-medieval-infantry-helmet.aspx or this http://www.kaswords.com/medieval-norman-phrygian-helmet.aspx for me and we'll both get what we want and mine will be free and you can order what you want hahahaha
Sir Ulrich:
OH WOW, thank god I didnt order that gambeson from Australia. They sell the exact same one there plus padded leggings. Now i'm a bit bummed, I coulda gotten that cheaper option easier if I knew about this site. Though i'm not too concerned about outgrowing my gambeson, i'm concerned about the leggings because they fit my legs PERFECTLY and some threads actually snapped because they're quite tight.
Sir James A:
You can pick up some aglets for $5. That's the site where I got my DoK lanterns, leather journal, some of the aglets, and "medieval tweezers". :)
My understanding is those gauntlets are GDFB, and they're the same ones as the Churburg style minus the brass trim, and using regular steel instead of brass for the joint lames.
