Heraldic Heater shield.

<< < (4/5) > >>

SirNathanQ:
ok, thanks  :)

anything funny I should know about applying it?

Sir Wolf:
i always got the spray on acrilic sealer in a can. kinda like spray paint only its a clear coat.

Sir Edward:
If you use a spray, my advice is just to be careful about getting it on evenly. Since it's clear, it's hard to tell where you sprayed and where you didn't, especially since it dries pretty quickly.

Sir Rodney:

--- Quote from: SirNathanQ ---Here's my heraldic heater shield. (late 13th through mid 14th cent.) This I also mde myself, with the same process as the Teutonic Heater sheild (I would be happy to explain in detail on either thread). Altogether, it's 1/2 inch Birch with thick canvas facing. This shield is wickedly fast and maneuverable.
--- End quote ---

Please do explain your process in The Workshop.  There is no such thing as too much knowledge.  (And I, for one, would like to know your process  :) ).

Sir Patrick:
I can't speak for Sir Nathan, but here's how I made mine.  I'm betting the technique he used is similar.
