GDFB 14th Century Guantlets
Sir Gerard de Rodes:
I must agree with Sir Wolf and James. One of my comrades in arms, Sir David de Jarponville used a pair of these for a few events and really was never happy with them. The fit seemed uncomfortable and the fingers gave way quite early into their life.
They look fantastic though ;)

Sir William:
Sir Wolf, lets see you fully dressed to kill, brother!
Sir Gerard, I just saw your comrade, Sir David, undergo a medieval divorce? That was hilarious!

Sir Brian:
Has anyone fought with these? Reason I ask is my leather clamshell gauntlets are irritating me. They are either losing pop rivets or the few solid rivets are causing me blisters on my knuckles (better padded insert gloves seem to have remedied that issue though). I lost another rivet last night forcing me to use by worn out lacrosse gloves and wouldnt you know it I took a hit on the thumb, so now I have a Toton thumbnail.
I noticed that the prices on these are really tempting the only differences I can tell with these is the Milanese is $20.00 more and has a palm strap, for twenty bucks I can add my own palm strap! ;)

Sir Brian, I have a pair of early mitten gauntlets similar to those. The only main difference is that the "hourglass" cuff doesn`t go all the way round the inside of the wrist, this seems to give good flexability. I swear by my mittens for comfort, fit, protection and low maintainence.
This isn`t a bad photograph of them
