Thank you all for the gracious greetings, I am glad to be able to return to the forums. I agree as well, Sir Brian's new Silk Tabard Looks great, I was able to get in a sneak peek before it was finished. The new Crest is most excellent as well, great job on that as well.

Great picture of your kits, good sirs!  Sir Brian, I'm jealous of your crest.  Where did you get it?

Sorry I missed your posting earlier Red Knight!  :-[

I got my crest from here:
http://www.dragonlore53.com/

They don’t have much in the way of griffons but I managed with one of the few offerings they had. I had inquired of them three years ago if they intended to ever carry griffons and last year they were finally able to convince one of their carvers to try a few but he didn’t like to do them that much so I don’t think they’ll carry them in the future. I am inquiring with a very talented artist I know to see if she’d be interested in doing one but that could be a bit pricey. I’ll just have to be extremely careful with this one.  :-\

That looks pretty cool! I have no idea how to blazon the triangular pattern at the top. Was that something you came up with or was that already on one of the family designs you saw?

Something vaguely like "Per Fess Argent and Sable, an Otter (?) Argent, Ribbons(?) Azure, Trefoils wavy Or on A Pily sable"

I've completely butchered it without a doubt, but that should be a rough start I hope?

Welcome! And The COA is nice. Would you be so kind as to explain the Symbolism?

The main field is actually a fur called "ermine" and the animal is also an ermine (I only know that latter part because we talked about it off-forum previously).

I believe it to be a chief dancetty sable which dancetty represents water.

Excellent COA Sir Jason! Well done indeed! I especially like how you worked the ermine ermine into it!  :)

I will try to work up a proper Blazon for my shield design tomorrow unfortunately it is late. But for those that want to know the top most division of 3 triangles pointing downward is called Pily, and as Sir Edward stated the creature is an Ermine.

Yep, I was about to suggest a Chief Pily. I agree, I think that's right.

I see so it is three sub-ordinaries in chief and not so much as a line of separation with an ordinary chief:)

From what I understand Pily is a Division.

I have 2 divisions on the shield Pily in Chief, and per Fess.

Here is how I believe the Blazon should go, this is probably going to need some tweaking.

"parted per Fess Ermine and Vert, a Pily Sable with three Trefoils Or in chief, an Ermine Rampant proper in Base."

Wow, nicely done. Yes, Pily was one I wasn't that familiar with, but it does appear to be a division. I think your blazon works pretty well. You could probably leave out the word "parted", since Per Fess immediately describes the primary division in itself.
